Stainless steel bending processing considerations
1. Under unit size, the thicker the sheet, the greater the required bending force, and the larger the sheet thickness, the greater the margin of bending force when selecting the bending equipment, and the lower thermal conductivity of stainless steel than ordinary low carbon steel. Poor, low elongation, resulting in large deformation force required;
2. Under unit size, the greater the tensile strength, the smaller the elongation, the greater the required bending force, the larger the bending angle, and the greater the bending angle of stainless steel relative to the same thickness of carbon steel. Special attention should be paid to the occurrence of bending cracks and affect the strength of the workpiece.
3. In the case of the corresponding thickness and bending radius in the design drawing, according to experience, the unfolding size of a curved workpiece is the addition of the two sides of the right-angle plus minus two plate thickness, which can fully meet the design accuracy requirements, and the expansion amount can be calculated according to the empirical formula. Simplify the calculation process to greatly increase production efficiency;
4. The greater the yield strength of the material, the greater the amount of elastic recovery. In order to obtain a 90 degree angle of the bending member, the smaller the angle of the required knife is to be designed, the more the austenitic stainless steel is bent relative to the carbon. There is a large elastic recovery deformation of steel, so the knife angle is smaller than carbon steel.
